About the Artist

Ingrid Yuzly Mathurin is a self-taught, first-generation Haitian American artist based in New York City's Lower East Side. Her multidisciplinary practice explores identity, ancestry, migration, memory, and the emotional landscapes of belonging, creating work that bridges personal history with collective cultural narratives.

Mathurin is a 2024 Soho House Fellow, a New York Foundation for the Arts Artists as Entrepreneur Fellow, and a recipient of the 2023 LeBasse Projects Grant. She was recognized with The Other Art Fair's 2022 New Futures Award by Saatchi Art and participated in the Los Angeles Lakers' "In the Paint" Program.

Her residency experience spans Studio Kura in Japan, Ma House Residency in East Hampton, Carrie Able Gallery in New York, and Project Art in Los Angeles. Recent exhibitions include a solo presentation at Sovern LA, along with exhibitions at the Brooklyn Museum, Jamaica Arts Center, and IPC Art Space in Miami.

Beyond the gallery, Mathurin has created public murals and campaigns for Peacock's Fight Night, United Way Atlanta, Adult Swim, and NFL Films, while collaborating with organizations including Know Your Rights Camp and Bed-Stuy Walls. Her work is held in public and private collections, and she remains deeply committed to mentoring the next generation of artists through community engagement.

Join us for an evening where art becomes a shared experience—a celebration of culture, creativity, and the many ways we find our way home.
